FREE SWIMMING
Fancy a splash around for FREE in you local leisure centre in the school holidays? Then dive right in and find out what’s on offer. You’ll be amazed at what you can do at your local swimming pool and it won’t cost you a penny! Now that’s a good reason to read on.
Thanks to the Welsh Assembly Government’s Free Swimming initiative, you can access your local leisure swimming pool for FREE during all school holidays so there’s no excuse for boredom anymore!
Applicable to all children 16 and under, the initiative entitles you to free splash sessions at selected times within your local leisure centre (times vary at each pool) and at least one FREE structured activity session each week of the holidays. These sessions can vary at each holiday and at different leisure centres but the type of activity may include:
Snorkelling • Lifesaving • Water Polo • Canoeing • Club Taster Sessions
Bridgend County Borough Council operates swimming pools at Bridgend, Pencoed, Pyle, Maesteg and Ynysawdre
