The Active Young People department is a great believer in promoting ‘5 Alive’ – How to live well, ‘5 Alive’ links in with 5 activities per week and 5 fruit & veg a day. This will help set you up for a healthier lifestyle and more energy to do fun & exciting stuff with your mates.

5 activities per week is about getting active for at least 60 minutes each day! It doesn’t have to be all at once! A 10 minute walk to the shops, a 20 minute kickabout or out riding your bike will do. But before you ask, no it doesn’t include time on your x-box or watching TV
Your 5 a day portions should include a combination of a variety of fruit and vegetables. That's 5 portions altogether, not 5 portions of fruit and 5 portions of veg.
